Performing an Instant Scan

This document outlines the steps to initiate an Instant Scan for your project in CyberWacht.

Steps to Perform an Instant Scan

1. Navigate to the Project Overview Page
   Click on the project name in the left-hand sidebar to access its overview.

2. Open the Scan Tab

   • On the project overview page, locate and click the Scan tab.
   • Click the +Scan Now button to open the modal for selecting scanners.

3. Select Scan Type(s)
   Choose the desired scan type(s) from the available options:

   • Select a Specific Scanner: Focus the scan on particular areas of your project (e.g., code analysis, dependency checks).
   • Choose Select All: Perform a comprehensive scan of all domains and repositories using all available scanners.

4. Start the Scan
   After selecting the scan type(s), click the Start Scan button.

5. Monitor the Scan Progress
   View the scan’s progress in real-time on the Scans page.
   Once completed, the results will be displayed in the Findings section.

Post-Scan Actions

• Review the Report: Analyze the vulnerabilities detected, categorized by severity and type.
• Take Action: Use the remediation steps provided in the report to fix vulnerabilities immediately.
• Re-run if Needed: Trigger another scan after making changes to validate fixes.
